The impostor in the carrots

I am not sure if this is coincidental or the result of shoddy seed packaging, but there is a weed in my Parisian (round) carrot patch that looks suspiciously like a carrot. There is a strong resemblance until it reaches a certain size. The weed's leaves also have a strong fragrance, so telling it apart from a carrot is not difficult--especially once I pull it and see the spindly root instead of a nice round carrot.

This bed was prepared last fall with purchased topsoil and compost, and I overwintered scallions and carrots. Of course violets made their way in, but the impostor weed is a new one for my garden.
